The thing that I worried the most about Themeforest is the timely updates that make the themes work well all the time with the updated WordPress system, but it looks like the updates are done very promptly in most cases. What you need to look out for are the new designers, designers with low ratings, and you have to read the comment section of the theme to make sure people are not complaining about the themes. As long as you check theme before you buy them I think you’ll be good.
