Volusion vs Shopify – Head to Head Ecommerce solution providers comparison

Any entrepreneur or business that seeks a shopping cart solution for his online business is keen in acquiring the best shopping cart provider around. There are two important features that can serve as guideposts for online businesses, namely: the quality of service and the price.

As such, this Volusion vs Shoplify review can help you arrive at a smart decision. The rationale for comparing these two is that they are known as the leading shopping cart solutions in the industry.

The review will present both the advantages and disadvantages of each provider. Keep in mind that both are competitive; hence, you need to know exactly the features of each provider so you can strategically implement them for your online business. Nonetheless, both provide top rank services for online merchants.

First, these two companies have a variety of e-commerce tools that can enhance the purchasing experience of your customers. They also have a variety of plans to choose from. This all depends on your budget and the needs of your business. If your site sells less than a hundred products, then you might as well go for the most basic plan. Even the simplest plan would do since it includes many free features that can satisfy the requirements of an online business. The first feature that we would dwell on would be the price. This means a lot for most business owners because they want a service that’s value for their money.

Volusion vs Shopify: Volusion for $19 a month:

This is Volusion’s lowest price plan that covers enough features to keep a simple online business running. The plan is good for online stores that sell less than one-hundred products plus 1GB of data transfer. Actually, most online business owners find this plan satisfying enough because they usually sell less than a hundred items. The price does not drain your pocket so you can allocate your tight resources somewhere else. Plus, there are no transactions fees whatsoever so you can really run a tight ship. Many shopping cart providers also include good features but they have transaction fees that can slowly eat your budget.

The Volusion plan is hefty considering that it comes with mobile commerce tools that makes the shopping experience accessible using mobile phones. There’s also live chat assistance so all your concerns can be attended to promptly. In case you’re worried about design,Volusion templates are included for free! Much more, you get some sweet deal from Adwords credits so you can advertise your site exponentially.

Shoplify priced at $29 a month

At the first glance, Shoplify is way more costly than Volusion by more than $10. More than that, you need to pay for transaction fees (roughly two-percent) as well. Is this worth it? The best way to know is by learning what they offer for your business. To get your feet wet, go on a Free Trial on Shoplify. This will make you familiar with their tools and maximize them for your business. Also, the bandwidth is unlimited so that makes it really cutting edge. Shoplify also throws in custom domain, customer accounts, stats, and SSL among others. So if your online business is really serious in terms of efficiency and safety, Shoplify seems like an excellent provider of shopping cart tools.

Another interesting feature is the fact that you simply have to download the software and your shopping cart is good to go. No set up fees to pay for and other hidden charges. In case you ‘re not really that pleased despite their features, simply cancel your account anytime. Interestingly, Shoplify offers free Adword credits like Volusion.

Shopify vs. Volusion:

Here is the hardest part-choosing between these two excellent providers. Practical advice would be to check both their Free Trial and see where you are comfortable with. Post questions for chat support to check their response time and courtesy as well. Consider also the volume of your business needs if its complex enough to really get a full bundle like Shoplify. If it’s simpler, then maybe Volusion can provide you with enough service. The good thing in the end is that you would experience how these two top notch companies service your business. It’s all up to your keen intuition to decide what’s best for your online business.

Thanks , I have just been searching for info about this topic for a while and yours is the greatest I have came upon so far. However, what in regards to the bottom line? Are you sure in regards to the supply?|What i do not realize is in fact how you are now not really a lot more smartly-favored than you might be right now. You are so intelligent.

I choosed OsCommerce. Why? Because there are a lot of moduels and extensions. Thanks of them you can fully customize your store. There is a lot of OsC Communities too and technical support is more better. But, for really i don’t like ecommerce solutions listed in poll. I spend much of time to find better software and I did it. I can reccommend: PHPMass Shopping Cart, Axis Commerce and OXID eCart this trio is my favourites.

I don’t think there’s even a debate on which is better and the clear choice is Shoplify. It has so many more features, it’s much more professional, and you get SSL by default which is a must in this day and age. No knowledgeable shopper would make a purchase from a shop that doesn’t even have basic SSL encryption and it’s just not possible to run a serious business without it. Volusion is a good company and I’m not going to trash them, but they’re more suited for beginners and smaller businesses that don’t have financial backing.
